Dear Educator,

As someone who deals with children daily, you know how important it is to start kids on a healthy lifestyle early.  At Skate Connection we have developed several different programs to help you in this endeavor, encourage good study habits, and also to provide you with ideas for fund raising.  They include, but are not limited to:

Program Name       Brief Description

Summer Skating Passes (Fund Raiser) Our month long passes donated to school.  School keeps 100% of profits.

Read & Roll with "Roo" Program to promote love for reading.  Rewards in form of free passes, parties, and misc. items.
School's Out Mania All Afternoon Skate Afternoon skate held when school is out providing an alternative for children staying home alone.  Price includes lunch of hot dog and Pepsi.
Scholastic Achievement Award Free Skating passes to use for miscellaneous rewards.  Often used by teachers for "random acts of kindness," teachers helpers, etc.

Used as an incentive, skating is more than just fun. It provides good all round physical exercise, helps develop coordination, balance, and motor skills (known to overlap and help intelligence skills), and teaches a life sport.

Skating is also an enjoyable recreational activity and safe too! A study released by the Consumer Product Safety Commission reported roller skating to be twice as safe as playing on a playground, four times safer than basketball and five times safer than bicycling.

Skating during the school day is held in a two hour weekday morning or lunch time session the children not only skate, but also play games such as red light, green light, shoot the duck, and others which promote listening skills, spatial differences, and following directions.  Rates are dependent on number of students and frequency of visits.
